Ever feel like you're drowning in cybersecurity noise? Yeah, totally trying to find those real insights that actually matter. I hear ya. Well, we decided to take a deep dive into this podcast called privileged Exec. Okay, and it's like it's different, you know, different how it's not just the same old cybersecurity talk. It's like you're sitting down with some of the top people in the field. Oh, like, who? Like, we're talking CIOs, ethical hackers, folks who are dealing with the toughest challenges every single day. Gotcha. So, like, what kind of challenges? So we're talking about things like emerging threats, how to actually run a security operation effectively, the whole AI and automation thing, cyber intelligence and, okay, that's a lot, yeah, and then, of course, you got the whole compliance and policy side of things too. Oh, man, yeah, that's always fun, right? It's a lot. But this podcast, they break it down. So who's the host? What makes this one so special? Well, the host is Matt Berry, and he's not just some talking head. He's the global field CTO for cyber security at worldwide technology. Ah, so he, like, actually knows what he's talking about. Yeah. He's like, out there building things like WW, t's Cyber Range platform I've heard of that. Isn't that where they like, simulate, yeah, it's like a giant virtual playground where companies can practice defending against real world attacks. That's wild. Okay, so this Matt berry guy. He's got some serious street cred, totally. And the guests he gets on the show, I mean, wow. Like, who? Okay, so remember John kindervag, the zero trust guy? Yeah, the zero trust guy, he's, like, basically wrote the book on it, right? And now he's at Illumio, yeah. He's their chief evangelist, which makes sense, because zero trust is kind of a big deal, right? It's like this fundamental shift in how we think about security. Instead of trusting everyone on the inside, you're basically like, nope, gotta verify everyone and everything exactly. And kindervag, he really digs deep into all that on the podcast, cool, cool. Anyone else? Oh, yeah. They're Steve stone from settin alone, okay? I know them. They do threat detection and response, right? Yeah. And stone, he's their senior VP of threat discovery and response, so he's like, right there on the front lines. Makes sense, you know, battling the bad guys. So they've got the zero trust angle, the threat response side covered. What else? Well, then they bring in Michael Kelly from Palo Alto Networks, ah, Palo Alto Networks, big name, right? He's their senior VP of worldwide systems engineering. So he's got this, like, big picture view of the whole cybersecurity landscape, so he's probably seen it all pretty much, right? And he shares some really insightful stuff about the challenges companies are facing, the trends he's seeing all that that's super valuable, totally. And then, and this is where it gets even more interesting. Okay, Lay it on me. They bring in Maya Horowitz, oh, wow, from checkpoint software, yes, she's their VP of research, and she's doing some amazing work with AI and cybersecurity, like, what? Well, think about it, using AI to, like, predict and prevent attacks before they even happen. That's like, next level stuff, it is, and it raises all sorts of questions, right? Like, what happens when the bad guys start using AI too? Exactly. It's like a whole new arms race. And Horowitz, she's really pushing the boundaries there. Man, it's mind blowing how fast this field is changing. I know, right? But that's what makes this podcast so great. They're really tackling the tough questions, not just the tech stuff, but the strategy and leadership aspects too, right? Because at the end of the day, cybersecurity is about people, yeah, making decisions, leading teams, all of that. So after diving into privileged exec, it makes you wonder, what? What would you ask a top cybersecurity leader if you had the chance? Mm, that's good question. What keeps you up at night? What are you worried about? Yeah, I have to think about that one, because these are the kinds of conversations they're having on privileged exec sounds like a must listen. It really is, and who knows, maybe it'll spark some new ideas, some new solutions for all of us. It's definitely worth checking out, especially if you want to stay ahead of the curve in this crazy world of cybersecurity, agreed. Thanks for the heads up. Absolutely. Stay safe out there. You too, and keep learning. Will do Bye, bye.
